On September 26th, 1960, a meeting was held to explain and set up a Constitution for the Ross County Chapter.

A Good News Club Rally was held at Carver Community Center in 1965.

In 1981, The Good News Caboose was rented from the Mahoning Valley Chapter and made its first visit to the Ross County Fair.  In 1996 the caboose was renovated.  The caboose still remains a very important part of the South Central Chapter Ministry.

In the 1986, six Good News Clubs to begin in various locations one of those locations was at Jefferson Ave CCCU.

Good News Clubs in the school began in 2015 here in Ross County with a club in Tiffin Elementary in the spring and added a GNC at Mt. Logan in the Fall.  Currently, clubs are being held at the former Massieville School, Sherman Park, Lincoln Park, and the Chillicothe Intermediate School.  Several

5-Day Clubs are also held in the summer.

1998 Pike County was added to the Ross County Chapter.  In 2021, there were nine additional counties added and the chapter was renamed CEF of Ohio, Inc., South Central Chapter.
